Description

This course is a one-semester general chemistry course. This course emphasizes laboratory techniques and safety, units of measurement, atoms, elements, periodicity, stoichiometry, solutions, acid-base theory, gas laws, thermochemistry, and basic organic chemistry. Not intended for students requiring additional chemistry courses. Prerequisite: One year high school chemistry or CHEM-090 and MATH-105 or MATH-106 with a “C†grade or better or appropriate score on the mathematics placement exam. Permission of instructor required.
