This course will focus on the curriculum development process, including the role of teachers and the importance of play in early childhood learning and development. Students will develop appropriate preschool activity plans to promote physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development, emphasizing language, literacy, social studies, children's literature, and the arts. This course requires a 60-hour practicum (CHLD 138) in an approved EC setting with appropriate clearances or enrollment in MiRegistry.Pre-requisite: CHLD 103; Co-requisite: CHLD 138
