Description

This course addresses the respectful and reciprocal relationships involved in infant toddler care. An emphasis on building secure attachments through responsive interactions and partnerships with families, which support the physical, cognitive, linguistic, social, and emotional development of children ages 0-3 years are included. Using practices that promote safe, inclusive, developmentally appropriate environments and interactions that are responsive to all infants, toddlers, and their families are addressed. 20 hours of observation, documentation, and assessment of infant toddler growth and development are required. Prerequisite: CHLD 101
