Description
This is the third in a sequence of five courses to prepare the student as a Basic EMT. Emphasis is placed on didactic content delivery covering the recognition and management of environmental and trauma emergencies including soft tissue, head, chest, and abdominal injuries, as well as, verbal, written, and radio communications, appropriate triage of patients having medical and trauma emergencies, and recognition and management of emergency childbirth in addition to a variety of pediatric emergencies. Prerequisite(s): āCā or better in EMT 110, āCā or better in EMT 121 Corequisite(s): EMT 161, EMT 171
