Description

This course provides students with an opportunity to learn the history of the United States from its colonial origins to the Civil War, with an emphasis on the dynamics of sectionalism that led to the War Between the States. Political, economic, and social topics are studied in relationship to the course theme. This is a honors course which requires additional work and academic rigor. Meets the Social & Behavioral Science requirement. Prerequisite: Acceptance into the Honors Program.
