Description

This course is designed for a student who is comfortable with the basic arithmetic operations without a calculator to quickly review arithmatical concepts, and provide the student with a solid algebraic foundation which is required in college level math courses. Topics covered include: operation of whole numbers, fractions, percentages, decimals, ratios, integers, exponents, operations with signed numbers, an introduction to geometry, algebra, polynomials, equations, and stated problems, factoring, introduction to functions and graphs, systems of linear equations, exponents, and quadratic equations. Information on math test taking strategies and study skills will be presented and practiced along with the principles of On Course. This course is developmental in nature and cannot be used to fulfill requirements for any certificate or degree.
