Description
This course is designed to develop cognitive, affective, psychomotor, communication, and assessment skills in a simulated clinical laboratory setting. Emphasis is on utilizing nursing concepts, beginning assessment and interview skills as a basis for nursing practice. This is taught using the conceptual framework of Martha Rogers "Science of Unitary Human Beings," along with Marjory Gordon’s Functional Health Patterns. Prerequisite: Admission to Part I of the A.D.N. Program. Co-requisite: NURS-101. To progress in the program, the student must maintain a grade of “P†or better in program courses.
