Description
This clinical course provides the student with the opportunity to apply a network of skills to the practice of nursing. Focus is on concepts of assessment and evaluation of pattern manifestation, communication skills and basic patient care in the long term care facility. Prerequisites: Admission to the Practical Nursing Program, 'C' or better in BIOL-213, NURS-101, NURS-114, and HLTH-140 and 'P' in NURS-102. Co-Requisite: NURS-128. To progress in the program, the student must maintain a grade of a 'C' or better in BIOL-213, NURS-101, NURS-114 and HLTH-140 and 'P' or better in NURS-102.
