Description
This clinic course will incorporate and build upon knowledge and skills obtained in NURS 110, NURS 111 and other program courses as the PN Student completes their first clinical rotation and begins to provide direct patient care. In this course, the student will have an opportunity to participate in providing care to adult patients experiencing a variety of health alterations with a primary focus on the geriatric population. Students will have the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills attained in NURS 110 and 111 in learning how to provide safe, patient centered care in the PN role in the clinical setting through performing assessments, develop plans of care and providing interventions, and apply the nursing process within the context of the clinical judgment model. Concurrent: This course is designed to be taken concurrently with NURS 110 Essentials of Practical Nursing, and NURS 111 Essential Practical Nursing Skills Lab. To progress in the program, the student must maint
