Description

This is an introductory theory course that is designed for first year ADN students to be taken in the second semester of the nursing program sequence. Taught over the entire semester, with an emphasis placed on critical thinking, the development of clinical judgment, safe, effective, evidence-based patient care that will utilize the nursing process. To progress in the program, the student must maintain a grade of a “C” or better, in all program specific general education courses and required program courses. Prerequisite: Grade of "C" or better inENGL 101, BIOL 213, COMM 103, and MATH 105. Concurrent: NURS 204 & NURS 208
