Description

This course is an introduction to the study of the physical, cognitive, and psychosocial development of the individual during the life-span. A special emphasis is placed on the changes associated with childhood and adolescence. This course is based upon the views that development is due to interactions between nature and nurture, development is contextual in terms of recognizing culture and other environmental conditions, and that each person’s development is similar and yet unique to the development of others. Meets the Social & Behavioral Science requirement. Prerequisite: R and PSYC-201 or permission of instructor.
