    Description

    An introduction to the concepts of inorganic, organic, and biological chemistry for students in nursing and other Life Science majors. Subjects will include metric units, state of matter, atomic structure, energy transfer, gases, atomic energy, solution concentration, oxidation reduction, acids, bases, and salts. It will briefly cover carbon compounds, biochemical compounds, and metabolic pathways. Application to life situations will be made whenever possible. Prerequisite: M.
