Description

This lecture course is designed for the Licensed Practical Nurse transitioning into the Registered Nurse role. Students will validate and build upon foundational nursing knowledge in development of patient centered plans of care. Emphasis is placed on how levels of prevention, the nursing process, clinical reasoning, and clinical judgment are integrated in care-planning by the Registered Nurse. To progress in the program, the student must maintain a grade of a ā€œCā€ or better, in all program specific general education courses and required program courses. Prerequisite: Officially accepted into the ADN Bridge Program and ā€œCā€ or better in PSYC 201, COMM 103, BIOL 213, BIOL 214, BIOL 276, ENGL 101; and SAT > or equal to 570, ALEKS > or equal to 46 OR completion of MATH 105 or higher level with "C" or better.
