Description

This lecture course reviews and builds on previously attained knowledge, skills, and attitudes to assist the Licensed Practical Nurse in transitioning into the Registered Nurse role. Emphasis is placed on understanding how clinical judgment is utilized in providing care to patients experiencing acute and/or complex health problems across the lifespan and maintenance of physiological integrity.ÂTo progress in the program, the student must maintain a grade of a “C†or better, in all program specific general education courses and required program courses. Prerequisite: Officially accepted into the ADN Bridge Program and “C†or better in NURS 215, NURS 217, NURS 219, NURS 221, andÂNURS 223 and hold an unencumbered LPN license. Corequisite: NURS 243 & NURS 247
