Description
The focus of this theory and clinical course will be the utilization of the nursing process in the care of adult clients in the acute care environments presenting with chronic, complex, or multi-system conditions. The theory aspect of this course will assist the student in synthesizing nursing knowledge to the physiological and pharmacological concepts relevant to common disease processes. The clinical aspect of this course builds upon the theoretical basis and application of nursing practice presented in previous nursing courses. Utilizing the nursing process within the methodology of Health Patterning Practice method, students will focus on the role of the professional nurse within the human environmental fields in various acute health care settings. Emphasis will be placed on the application of advanced interpretation of disease openness within the mutual energy fields of the nurse and client, and the facilitation of the health potential of unitary human beings in their environments
