Description

This course is designed to assimilate the concepts within the three domains of the individual, healthcare, and nursing. Emphasis is placed on the concepts of fluid/electrolytes, metabolism, perfusion, mobility, stress/coping, violence, healthwellness-illness, professional behaviors, caring interventions, managing care, healthcare systems, and quality improvement. This combined theory and clinic course allows for theoretical application of concepts to clinical setting in providing safe, effective and competent care while demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to provide quality, individualized, entry-level nursing care to patient populations experiencing complex health issues. Prerequisite: Officially accepted into the A.D.N. Program and following the required sequence of courses.
