🩺 What Does “Competitive Entry” Mean?

Competitive entry programs start as Pre-Degrees. For example, future nurses begin as Liberal Arts – Pre-Nursing students. Once you meet entrance criteria and earn a seat, your major changes to Nursing (or your chosen field).

A cohort is a group of students who start and progress through the program together (e.g., Nursing students begin each Fall at the Escanaba Campus and continue for five consecutive semesters).
