Practical Nursing(PN) Fall entry -Applications close July 30

PN Entrance Criteria

Interested students usually begin in a pre-degree called Liberal Arts with a minor in Pre-Nursing. This helps students properly prepare for the practical nursing (PN) program. Nursing applications are reviewed for acceptance after each semester.

      • Meet PN program math standard
        • Must have a ALEKS score of 30 or better, or
        • SAT 510 or higher, or Completion of MATH 095, MATH 098, MATH 105, or equivalent college math (with "C" or better)
      • Meet General Education prerequisites-Must have a 2.0 or higher GPA in the below four pre requisite courses to be awarded a seat for Fall of 2024.
        • BIOL 104 Human Biology
        • HLTH 140 Dosage Calculation
        • ENG 101 Rhetoric & Composition
        • PSYC 201 Introduction to Psychology

Associate Degree Nursing(RN)–Escanaba Campus Fall 2024 -Iron Mountain Campus Winter 2025  RN Pre Requisites

    1. Apply .  When a student applies to a Nursing degree, the students file is reviewed for the following Entrance Criteria.
    2. BIOL 213 meet Pre-Requisite to Anatomy and Physiology, Online College catalog will detail Pre-Requisite.

The RN Escanaba program seats will be awarded no later than July 30.  The RN Iron Mountain program seats will be awarded no later than December 1,  for a start date of Winter.  An official letter Awarding a student a seat in our program is provided in your Bay College email, by our Allied Health Admissions Team.

Associate Degree Nursing(RN) - Bridge Program (must have an LPN License by November 15) Winter of 2024 Escanaba

  • PRE-Requisites: Applicants must have completed, the below per-requisite classes no later than Fall semester at Bay or December 1  for transfer with a “C” or better;
    • all PN program courses
    • COMM 103 Interpersonal Communications
    • ENGL 101 Rhetoric & Composition
    • MATH 105 Intermediate Algebra
    • PSYC 201 Intro to Psychology
    • BIOL 213 Anatomy & Physiology I
    • BIOL 214 Anatomy & Physiology II
    • and BIOL 276 Pathophysiology.  
  • ADDITIONAL: Students must have a MI LPN LICENSE by December 1: The RN Bridge Program requires students to have an unrestricted LPN License no later than December 1 to be awarded a seat. 

The RN Bridge program seats will be reviewed two times a year, in late September and then remaining no later than December 1,  for a start date of Winter of 2024.  An official letter Awarding a student a seat in our program is provided in your Bay College email, by our Allied Health Admissions Team.
